You get a lot of support and training from managers and coworkers. I never had a problem here. Cons Low pay. Different departments are unified toward patient welfare. My experience was, when given the opportunity, the specific goal of patient care in working with most all professional teams even housekeeping was phenomenally of good quality, genuine and compassionate.

Pros Teams. Cons Short staffed in quite a few areas. Solid employer with definite advancement opportunities. You can be promoted if you are a solid worker and wanting to move up. Management is helpful and willing to listen if you come to them with an issue or need help learning your tasks. Pay is not competitive, disconnect between upper management and staff in regards to COVID management, strong sense of team on units with generally great unit managers.

Loved my coworkers and patient population. Like every other hospital, there is not enough staff. You are constantly covering for someone and adding so many more onto your caseload.

The salary is decent and the benefits are good. The work life balance is good. Pros Good coworkers. Cons very short staffed always.

The higher ups don't seem to care. And I've worked for 2 years and have never gotten a raise. Pros additional shifts always available.

Cons understaffed, low wages. The only con to working at UF is the awful parking, if you drive expect to get to work way before your shift and have to take a shuttle.
